Barely three months after she was released from
prison for an alleged robbery, budding Yoruba
actress, Yetunde Akilapa, has reportedly been
detained again by the police for an alleged house
burglary in Lagos.
Gist flying revealed that Yetunde was once more
caught in possession of a bunch of master keys,
which she allegedly used to burgle a house in
Magodo estate area of Lagos.
She was reportedly caught by residents of the estate
and beaten to a pulp before being handed over to the
police.
Recall that shortly after regaining freedom from the
prison, through the court, she granted an interview to
a Lagos-based magazine, First Weekly, claiming she
was framed up by her friends. She had also told the
paper that the keys found on her then were props
used for her film, ‘Bunmi Akata’.
Yetunde was then arrested in February 2013 for an
alleged robbery in Akoka area of Lagos and was
detained at Alade Police Station in Shomolu.
She is a member of the Odunfa Caucus in the Yoruba
movie industry which has Ogogo, Yinka Quadri as
some of its leaders.
